Foro Boca is Now Open

Foro Boca, the new home for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Boca del Rio, opened on December 1 with a musical gala featuring famed violinist Joshua Bell. Translated, Boca means “Mouth,” which befits the dramatic location along the mouth of Mexico’s Jampa River in Veracruz, an area that is currently experiencing a cultural revitalization. Rojkind Arquitectos designed the stunning architecture; Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided theatre consulting for the 966-seat concert hall from initial design concepts through the design development phase, working in close collaboration with the architect and Akustics, the acoustician.

While Foro Boca was designed to host world class traditional, classical and popular music performances, this new venue also has the infrastructure in place to host film screenings, dance, theatrical performances, and other expanded programming.
