Showroom Sales Team Role at ERCO

ERCO is a market leader in architectural lighting with headquarters and manufacturing in Germany, and sales offices all over the world. We are looking for an outgoing and well–presented showroom sales person to join our Client Services team, based at our North Sydney lighting showroom.

This is a very versatile role that includes a number of different responsibilities including lead generation to sales, event organisation and participation in workshop activities. The local ERCO office conducts numerous workshops for architects, engineers, lighting designers and interior designers. This is a critical component of our business and you would need to have a strong involvement by assisting with the organisation and follow up for these workshops.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Following up workshop participants and developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Generating leads from the workshops and converting them into project opportunities
  • Participating in after-hours workshop activities with local and interstate clients and channel partners
  • Maintaining the showroom in immaculate condition and welcoming guests
  • Liaising with existing and potential clients by email, phone and face to face
  • Support of the specification sales team, channel partner network and other stakeholders
  • Participation in the various workshops – organising, preparing and assisting with presentations
  • Attending project tours (morning & evening) and client entertainment activities
  • Event preparation and management in the showroom and remote venues
  • Achievement of personal KPI’s and supporting the team to reach regional targets
  • Creating and maintaining project and address data in our CRM system

To be successful in this role you need:

  • A good work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment
  • To be presentable and highly organised
  • To have lighting experience (preferable) and at least 1 year sales experience
  • To be flexible and available to work at night
  • To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • To have an outgoing personality and preferably a hospitality or retail background
  • To be Microsoft Office, PC & Mac proficient
  • To be able to work towards targets/KPI’s
