Light Pattern by Daniel Temkin

A program which prints George Brecht’s 1961 event score “Three Lamp Events.” Written in photographs for the photograph-based Light Pattern programming language ( lightpattern.info ). The script uses lamps to set the color for each frame. Collectively they write his instructions:
on. off.
lamp
off. on.

A program which does nothing, just opens and closes. It is a series of NOP instructions, which get reduced down to a single empty function. Written in photographs for the photograph-based Light Pattern programming language ( lightpattern.info ). Each image has the bare minimum content necessary for a NOP command: a photo of red pixels, green pixels or blue pixels. Because a NOP instruction requires the shutter speed to be faster with each image, the progression begins with white and progresses to black, at which point the compiler can no longer determine which color dominates.

A program which writes “Hello, World!” to the screen. Written in photographs for the photograph-based Light Pattern programming language ( lightpattern.info ).
