‘LIGH3ENCE’ by Silje Thorsager Østby for Signify

Guiding you through a mysterious journey through light and fog on the hill of Kontraskjæret, the installation explores the optical phenomenon of the Brocken Spectre that occurs on any foggy mountain side or in the forest. By drawing inspiration from this wonderful phenomenon, Ligh3ence takes you on an adventurous experience, creating a mysterious and engaging play of light, shadow and fog and an immersive display in shifting shades of white that harmonize with the movement of the trees.

‘LIGH3ENCE is on display as part of Fjord Oslo, a free art festival that transforms Harbour Promenade in central Oslo into a large-scale outdoor exhibition of light.

Signify is the world leader in lighting for professionals, consumers and lighting for the IoT – Internet of Things. The purpose of Signify is to unlock the extraordinary potential of light for brighter lives and a better world, and through this make people’s lives safer and more comfortable.
