“In developing Antumbra we removed all pre-conceptions about what a user interface should be to design a panel that surpasses modern requirements and expectations in both form and functionality,” said Daniel Walker, Philips Dynalite Global Product Manager. “To ensure Antumbra set the standard from a design and an engineering perspective, we took a collaborative approach in its development, consulting widely with Philips global design teams as well as our customers and partner network. This design recognition reflects industry feedback acknowledging Antumbra as a benchmark in user interface design for Philips Dynalite control systems.”

AntumbraTouch is the latest addition to the range of user interface panels that operate on the Philips Dynalite lighting control network. Simple in its design, AntumbraTouch hides the complexity of a network lighting control system, allowing users to take control of their environment and adjust the lighting, blinds, AV or AC to meet their exact requirements.

The AntumbraDisplay panel combines buttons and a central LCD display to present multiple pages of functions and system information including current temperature and AC set point; lighting levels; fan speed; blind position; time; or a room status (ideal for commercial applications). The panel has been designed to complement the Antumbra range providing a consistent user interface look throughout a project. The 2014 Australian Good Design Awards were announced on Wednesday 28 May 2014 during a gala night presentation ceremony as part of the Good Design Festival held during Vivid Sydney.
