Studio Illumine was responsible for working with Robarts Interiors & Architecture to craft a lighting design that was both meaningful and contextual. Designed to discreetly accentuate the interior design and artwork, the lighting of the penthouse is felt but not seen through the use clean trimless fixtures of small aperture that were carefully selected for their down light, adjustable or wall washing function. When appropriate the lighting design presents itself through bold decorative glass chandeliers by Holly Hunt.

Studio Illumine understands the importance for residential projects to have a lighting design that is easy to use. This ease of use is achieved through the selection of appropriate controls and simple scene settings: social event, mood and evening.

Studio Illumine believes that lighting is a vital element of good design and as such, it should be the result of a cooperative process between the lighting and interior designer. It is important to apply lighting where the interior designer or architect applies materiality. This form of applying light allows for the lighting design together with the interior design to be meaningful.
